The vote on Friday, which included several other candidates for transport, including David Fink headed by the Federal Railway Department, announced a final verdict in the Senate late this week.
A former law enforcement official was nominated by President Trump in March after FMCSA CEO Adrian Camir suddenly left the agency after less than two weeks.
Barce had previously served as the main representative of the Florida Highway Patrol in the Commercial Commercial Safety Committee (CVSA) and the renovation of the industry.
He was a member of the US Transportation Association’s law enforcement counseling board as well as a member of the Florida Transportation Association.
