A new bill, “Protecting the US Road Act”, aimed at encrypting the recent law of the Ministry of Transport (DOT) in the transport industry and imposing punishment to countries that are unable to comply.
The bill, introduced by R-Texas on Friday, offers tougher Federal oversight of how to issue commercial driver licenses (CDLs) to foreign nationals and immigrants without evidence.
Just a few days after the Uklahoma officials announced the arrest of 130 commercial truck drivers without evidence.
The law includes unacceptable foreign truckers to address what their Minister of Transport Duffy is recently called “national emergency”, Van Davin said.
“It’s time to end the risk of illegal immigrant drivers and foreign national trucks that are unable to safely operate an 18 -wheel -driven vehicle,” Van Davin said in a statement.

The proposed law requires CDL applicants to prove the US legal immigration status and the US place of residence, the approval of DHS for non -citizenship applicants, and the permission restriction of one year or the duration of immigration documents.
It also needs to be renewed in person, cancellation of permits after completion of eligibility and recognizing more foreign CDLs. Countries that fail to comply can lose the federal highway budget.
The Van Davin bill is followed by several fatal accidents related to foreign drivers, including a March accident near Austin, Texas, killing five people. And the August truck crash in Florida killed three people.
