Outtrider, an independent yard operations technology company, recently announced that it has received control of its system and organization 2 types (SOC 2). This report confirms the effectiveness of its security controls over the past year. The first confirmation of the industry after the audit by PRESCIENT Security, a leader in the field of adaptation and security in the business space of the business to trade as a service.
The SOC 2 -type certification is prepared by the American CPA (AICPA) Institute for evaluating an organization’s information security practices over time. What makes the certificate important is that often in technology or software as a service to show a company, it can protect customer data, manage risks, and ensure reliability.
This certificate assures Outtrider’s policies, management and controls that are in accordance with security standards and compliance with Fortune 500 logistics companies. An additional advantage, especially in the autonomous environment, is to raise awareness of cyber security for virtual drivers with software that pilots autonomous vehicles.
“As cyber threats become more frequent and more complex, companies need to be confident that AI -powered logistics systems are built in their core,” said Bob Hall, Outtrider.
Outtrider has implemented comprehensive security measures, including threat detection services, multi -regional failure capabilities, and secure software development methods to protect important autonomous functions such as recognition and brake.
“While the security and adaptation of the domestic warehouse automation is well stabilized, the emerging category of industrial autonomous systems for outdoors, adjacent to the logistics facilities, introduces another set of data security concerns to address them. With the Soc 2 Type 2 certificate, Outtrider is now working.”
In order to maintain its certificate, Outtrider must show that it shows continuous compliance with the AICPA security requirements, under the annual audit by a valid foreign auditor.
“It is safe and secure – especially in a view where new threats appear in that minute,” explained. “Security is about clouds; safety is about autonomous vehicles. The two together give corporate confidence to establish Outtrider autonomous vehicles and scales with us.”
This move is done in the midst of a growing move from Outtrider over the past year. This includes its TüV Süd safety and a $ 62 million D Series budget led by Koch Technologies (KDT) and new company partners (NEA), with additional 8VC investment, ARK investment, B37 investment, FM investment, interwoven investment, Nventures (NVIDIA’s venture’s postm).
Outtrider has raised more than $ 250 million in stock to date. The company points out that since 2019, Outtrider customers have been working over 20 % of all North American yard trucks. Outtrider continues to test its products and perform experimental programs.
