Transportation in April to carry cargo before steep tariffs moved as imports in US container imports increased.
Imports from March 1.2 % and 9.1 % a year to more than 2.4 million units equivalent to twenty feet, one of the strongest April in the record.
The data was released on Wednesday in the World Descination May World Transport Report.
Imports from China have climbed 5.4 % since March, which probably reflects the shipments of uploaded to 145 % of the United States, which was implemented on April 9.
China has one -third of the total entrance volume, led by furniture, plastics and machinery, the sectors aimed at by the Trump administration’s tax.
Import growth from Vietnam, 32.5 % per hour per year; Italy, 29.9 %; Descartes said in a freedom: “And Thailand has increased by 13.4 %.”
Los Angeles and Bandar Long Beach’s cover jumped 13.9 % and 12 %, respectively, while the East Coast centers such as Savannah, Georgia and Charleston, South Carolina declined and are central to the faster Trans -Oceanic routes.
