The Martin Refrigerator Transport Company announced Tuesday that the CEO of Kohl will retire at the end of September. Randy Martin, chief executive of Martin, will return to the role of the CEO on October 1.
“We are very grateful for the team for the CEO and previously as president with the company since joining us in 2007,” Martin said in a statement. “He won the championship in complex and challenging environments,” he said.
Like many carriers throughout the industry, Martin (NASDAQ: MRTN) focuses on reducing its tractor number to improve use through long recession. The Wisconsin -based company also evacuated its struggle to the HUB (NASDAQ: HUBG) last month.
Martin has been with the company since 1974 and has served as its CEO from 2005 to 2021. He has been Chairman of the Board of Directors since 1993 and has been nominated as the chief executive of Martin in 2021.
