Union Pacific has announced a pair of new domestic international lines that link the new Northwest Pacific services to Chicago as well as between Memphis and Dallas.
Saturday, UP (NYSE: UNP) Daily Service from Tacoma, Wash. Launches to its World Terminal 4 in Juliet, Elaine, outside of Chicago.
“This service will be a supplement and in addition to the current internal service from TACSIM to Global 2,” said UP. “The service to the heart of the South Chicago Anbar area will create shorter dryness and more cost -effective access to a wide range of metro and a seamless sea to reach markets beyond Chicago.”
The service has already begun between the UP terminal in Marion, Arc, throughout the Mississippi River from Memphis, and the International Railway Terminal in Mosakith, Texas, in Dallas.
“We have recently launched the services between Memphis, TN (Marion, AR) and Dallas, TX (Mesquite, TX) to provide a solution to convert off-road loads to Intermodal,” said UP.
