With just three weeks left in the year, orders for new box vessels this year look set to hit a new record – contracting by 4.84 million Teu, almost 100,000 Teu ahead of last year.
MSC has finalized an unreported order for two 21,700 teu vessels at Penglai Zhongbai Jinglu Shipyard, bringing the number of orders for the scheme to 31, split between Zhongbai and three other Chinese shipyards – Shanghai Waigaoqiao.
