The Trump administration faced a chilly reception at the Supreme Court on Wednesday, where a majority of the court questioned President Donald Trump’s new use of the Emergency Powers Act to impose global tariffs.
A three-judge court appointed by Trump and generally in favor of presidential muscle power, could find that he overstepped his authority.
This is the first Trump policy to go before the courts for a final decision, and the stakes are high.
