“Terrible” weather in Mozambique is creating a difficult situation for supply chain operators in East Africa as the region grapples with political turmoil in Tanzania and severe congestion in Kenya.
CMA CGM announced yesterday that a Port Congestion Surcharge (PCS) of $200 per teu will apply to all shipments to Beira in Mozambique on Nov. 15, with the exception of US and Latin American shipments, to which it applies.
