According to a report at The Financial Times, Chinese customs officials have been sent to key ports for accurate checks about semiconductor shipments. The newspaper said on Friday that the inspections were initially targeted by the H20 and RTX Pro 6000D NVIDIA, chips designed to observe US export controls.

The report said the checks have expanded, which includes all advanced semiconductor products that violate the US export range. Chinese customs officials did not immediately respond to Reuters’ request for comment, while a NVIDIA spokesman refused to comment on the report.
China’s access to leading chips in the NVIDIA world has been the main point of friction between the United States and China. In August, US President Donald Trump made it possible to allow Nvidia to sell more advanced chips in China.
A previous Financial Times report indicates that at least $ 1 billion of AI NVIDIA’s top $ 1 billion chips were smuggled in three months from May and sold in China. China officials had previously accused Nidia of violating the anti -monopoly law and ordered top technology firms in September to stop the purchases of NVIDIA artificial intelligence chips and cancel existing instructions.
Reuters reported last month that the NVIDIA has a new AI chip, RTX6000D, which is proportional to the Chinese market, but only with some large technology companies that do not decide to order only the demand. Despite the advances in Huawei and other Chinese chip companies in recent years, people involved in engineering operations in Chinese technology companies say NVIDIA chips perform better.
